The G8 and G20 summits are being held in Canada this year, specifically in Toronto and cottage country a few hours north of the city. Kudos to the world leaders for taking the time for some face-to-face conversation and hopefully we will see some alignment on the critical global issues we face today. All fine and good ... however ... It's been reported that the cost of security for the event is over $1 billion. Really?

It's been reported that the cost of security for the event is over $1 billion. Hummmm. Really? Is that possible? Seriously? Are you sure that's right? $1 billion? Oh my!
$1 billion is like 1000 $ million isn't it? 1000 $ million! Do I have that right? 1000 million dollars? Seriously? OMFG!
Was this a planned expenditure? How come we only found out through the media? Did those who created the plan and approved the plan think that it would just slip by and be overshadowed by the glorious affirmations and photo-op of this magnificent world leader summit? Did they think the media wouldn't get it?
It's $%#^%*#$7 outrageous! It's mindless! Of course we need to protect our leaders from any possible threat and that is not the issue.
$1 BILLION! Really? For a $%$%^# PHOTO OP!
We need a serious outbreak of common sense!
Security these days is an issue, no doubt about it. So spend over 1$ billion! What on earth are these people smoking?
Do you think people will remember this at the next election? And if they do will it make a difference? (The party is opposition would jump at doing the same.)
